Fun Simple Summer Drink and Snack

Kool-Aid Fruit Slush

It is hot, hot, hot and better way to sit and relax then to create a new cool drink for the kids to enjoy.

All you will need is:

1 package of Kool-Aid Orange flavour
Frozen fruit (we used mangos, pineapples and strawberries)
1/4 cup of milk
2 teaspoons of sugar

Kool-Aid Orange Flavor and Frozen Fruit

Directions:

1.  Make the Kool-Aid according to its package but don't add the sugar.  I added 2 teaspoons in the blender instead of adding the 1 cup right away.  Set aside.

2.  Add 1 cup of frozen fruit into blender.

3.  1 cup of the Orange Kool-Aid flavoured water

4.  Add 1/4 cup of milk

5. Add sugar to taste (I added 2 teaspoons)

6.  Blend everything together (portions were for use with my magic bullet)  I was able to make 5 cups all together.

If you want to make it creamier, it can also made into a shake by using vanilla ice cream instead of milk.  Either way it becomes a nice cool treat on a hot summer day.

You can add some fresh fruit as well.

For a fun snack cut up the watermelon and put it on a stick.  My kids love food on a stick.
