Book Summary (from book jacket): Mocha says it's bedtime, but Petri wants nothing to do with it! Reading books, singing lullabies and juggling plates are only a few things Mocha does in an attempt to tire his son out. Although Petri is entertained, he still refuses to sleep; he just wants to dilly dally! Worn out by his son's shenanigans will Mocha ever get Petri to bed?
My Thoughts:
How many parents are familiar with the dilly dally bedtime routine? Yup, if your a parent you know. Through the entertaining rhyming text, photographs and artwork you and your kids will delight in the story of Mocha who tries all kinds of things to get his son Petri to go to sleep. My daughter and I enjoyed the cute little gerbils in the Victorian doll house. I would love to know how Bailey J. Thompson got the gerbils to stay still to take these photos. This is my favourite text:
'For the love of pink beagles
And fluffy, striped eagles!
For the love of tutu-wearing rats
And opera-singing bats!
What on Earth was going on?
This little gerbil would be up til dawn!'
