Sunshine Award: I know I have been positively and creatively inspired by so many already in the blogosphere

Who doesn't like a little sunshine shone on them every now again.  Tisha Jagz at Doctor mom recipes spread some wonderful sunshine my way by nominating me for a Sunshine Blogging Award.  Thank you so much Tisha.  It is great to meet other bloggers just beginning like me and also some who we can all learn a lot from.  The Sunshine Award is given to bloggers who 'positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere' and I know I have been inspired by many in this community.

Random Facts About Me

1.  I love Tim Horton's coffee.  
2.  My all time favorite movie is Girls Just Want to Have Fun.
3.  My favorite color is pink.
4.  I love 5 pin bowling.  I miss bowling in a league.
5.  I prefer Pepsi over Coke.
6.  I still have all my stuff animal collection from when I was a kid.  
7.  I love France and French history.  Hmm, could be a why I became a History and French teacher.
8.  I had a water birth with my last child.  It was amazing and everything I could have hoped for.
9.  I love watching Criminal Minds, CSI and Bones.
10.  I like a lot of Lady Gaga's songs.
11.  I bite my nails when nervous, worried or bored.

 11 Questions From Tisha:

1. Tell me what is inside your bag right now.   

 Not to exciting I'm afraid.  I wouldn't stand a chance if I went to a wedding and they played that game where they ask you if you have x, y, or z in your purse.  I have my wallet, glass cleaner with wipe, change purse, loose receipts, my daughter's purse, one loose sock, extra pair of underwear for my daughter and an eraser that looks like a baseball.

     2.  What is the ultimate vacation destination for you?

South of France with Husband.

     3.  Why and when did you start blogging?

I started blogging at the end of May this year.  I had been thinking about it for a few years but never started.  Then I fell in love with Twitter and Google + and thought I could learn a lot from blogging.  So I began.

      4.  Android or Apple?

I have an iphone so I guess Apple.

     5.  Share one embarrassing experience you had so we can all laugh about it now.

 Have you ever got together with your family and laughed so hard and long that you peed yourself.  No, well that was me at a mini-golf course when I was 11 I think.  My dad had to walk directly behind me to make sure no one saw.  Scaring!

     6.  What is your favorite expression?

I like to say 'Sure' but it is a sarcastic 'sure'

     7.  Tell us about your childhood.

Pretty normal as normal goes.  Parents are still together.  I grew up in a small mountain town.  Loved camping, fishing and hanging with my friends.

      8.  Share your most romantic date ever.

My husband then boyfriend surprised me with a supper that he cooked in our newly bought house in the dining room with candles and streamers.  It was also to celebrate my birthday.

       9.  If a genie granted you 3 wishes, what would they be?

Should be easy but not really.

 First wish, to give me my own special wand that I could just wave in my house at anytime and it would clean for me.
Second wish, to create another guy just like my husband who could help him at work so my husband could spend more time at home with us.
Third wish, I know it sounds cliche but for there to be more compassion and kindness spread around the world.

      10.  If you could change the name your parents gave you, what would it be?

It was hard enough choosing my kids names.  I wouldn't change mine.  It's me.  Anything else and I wouldn't be me.

       11.  Are you a morning person or a night owl?

If I get enough sleep I would definitely say I was a morning person, oh and after my morning Tim Horton's coffee as well.

Here is one of my favorite songs from my childhood.  Actually it was the first tape cassette I received as a gift and it fits nicely with the Sunshine Award.
